Reflection
Solomon's story reminds me very much so of the speaker and survivor that I attended a lecture by, Hank. Hank spoke of his time in concentration camps and the movement around them before they were liquidated. He was freed and moved to America after marrying a good friend, just as Solomon did.
A fictional story that relates to this would have to be the story of "The Fence" and the girl with the apples who saved a little boys life and then later in life they met and married.
A non-fictional story that relates to this would be I Have Lived a Thousand Years: Growing Up in the Holocaust. Which also reminds me of the Anne Frank Diaries.
This can relate to the Bosnia Genocide, Cambodia Genocide, or even the Rwanda Genocide.
Unfortunately all audio links of Solomon talking about his experience were broken.
